National University of Science and Technology (NUST) is one of the top notch universities of Pakistan.

It was instituted in 1991 as a civil-military collaboration in the field of science and technology.
NUST has got many achievements over the past few years.
NUST Merit List 2020
NUST is currently the No. 1 engineering university in Pakistan and No. 81 in Asia. NUST ranked No. 355 in the world in the field of science and technology. It is the only Pakistani university in the list of top 400 universities around the world according to QS Rankings 2021. 
NUST Merit List 2022
Every engineering student in Pakistan has a dream to study in NUST. NUST has designed a NUST Entry Test (NET) for the induction of new graduates every year.

It is the only university in Pakistan which gave 3 chances to the students to appear in the test to get enrolled. Students can either avail all the three chances or two or just one according to their ease.
NUST Merit List 2022
NUST Entry Test (NET) is conducted in three series as NET-I, NET-II and NET-III.
 
NET-I is usually conducted in December while the NET-II is conducted in March-April. And the    NET-III is  conducted in May-June every year.
NUST Merit List 2020
Paper Based NUST Entrance Test (PBNET) is taken only on a single day in each series i.e NET-II and NET-III. While the Computer Based NUST Entrance Test occurs for almost a complete month in each series i.e NET-I, NET-II and NET-III.

NUST Merit List

After giving the entrance test and getting their results, all the students gets curious about the merit list.
NUST Merit List 2020
NUST announces the merit positions of the students usually at the end of July.

Students are then asked to select their preferences according to their merit positions.

After that, NUST announces its 1st merit list in the 1st week of August.

Minimum Aggregate to get Admission in NUST

There is no fix aggregate on which you can secure your admission in NUST.

But given below are the assumption formed on the previous record.
NUST Merit List 2020

NUST Aggregate for Mechanical Engineering 

If you have 90%/90%+ marks in Matric and FSc, then you should score 150+ to secure your seat for the Mechanical Engineering in SMME(NUST).

145+ marks can also done the job but there is 50-50 chances in this case.

Over the past few years, the merit of Mechanical Engineering is falling and hopefully will fall this year too.

There are almost 140-150 seats for Mechanical Engineering in NUST (H-12).

To secure your seat in Mechanical Engineering, your aggregate should be 78+.

In 2017, the last merit for Mechanical Engineering was 221 and in 2018, it was 422.

In 2019, the last merit position was 408. And in 2020, the last merit position was 444.

NUST Aggregate for Chemical Engineering

If you have 90%/90%+ marks in Matric and FSc, then you should score 135+ to secure your seat for the Chemical Engineering in NICE(NUST).

130+ marks can also done the job but there is 50-50 chances in this case.

Over the past few years, the merit of Chemical Engineering is falling and hopefully will fall this year too because 50 more seats are added in 2019.

To secure your seat in Chemical Engineering, your aggregate should be 72+.

In 2017, the last merit for Chemical Engineering was 1107 and in 2018, it was 1100.

In 2019, the last merit position was 1393And in 2020, the last merit position was 1845.
NUST Merit List 2020

NUST Aggregate for Electrical Engineering

If you have 90%/90%+ marks in Matric and FSc, then you should score 138+ to secure your seat for the Electrical Engineering in SEECS(NUST).

Over the past few years, the merit of Electrical Engineering is falling and hopefully will fall this year too because more of the students are going towards the CS and SE(Software Engineering).

There are almost 180-190 seats for Electrical Engineering in NUST (H-12).

To secure your seat in Electrical Engineering, your aggregate should be 74+.

In 2017, the last merit for Electrical Engineering was 748 and in 2018, it was 1000.

In 2019, the last merit position was 1004

NUST Aggregate for Software Engineering

If you have 90%/90%+ marks in Matric and FSc, then you should score 140+ to secure your seat for the Software Engineering in SEECS(NUST).

Over the past few years, the merit of Software Engineering is rising and hopefully will rise this year too.

There are almost 90 seats for Software Engineering in NUST (H-12).

To secure your seat in Software Engineering, your aggregate should be 74+.

In 2017, the last merit for Software Engineering was 1233 and in 2018, it was 1100.

In 2019, the last merit position was 840And in 2020, the last merit position was 460.

NUST Aggregate for Computer Science

If you have 90%/90%+ marks in Matric and FSc, then you should score 136+ to secure your seat for the Computer Science in SEECS(NUST).

Over the past few years, the merit of Computer Science is rising and hopefully will rise this year too.

There are almost 140 seats for Computer Science in NUST (H-12).

In 2017, the last merit for Computer Science was 2018 and in 2018, it was 1400.

In 2019, the last merit position was 1291And in 2020, the last merit position was 730.

NUST MERIT POSITIONS:

After a month since the NET-III has ended, NUST officially announces the merit position for all the candidates who have given the NET(either Ì,II or III). The important point is, your merit position is calculated from the highest marks you obtained in either of the series.

You can find your Merit Positions by entering your credentials on the same admission page, you have applied(there would be a moving ticker on the sidebar).

You merit positions would be something like this.

Then you would be give almost a week to update your preferences.
Once you have updated your preferences, the 1st Selection List would be announced probably within a week.

After your selection in particular field, you would have to submit your fee invoice to be considered for upgradation to the field of your desire(otherwise, you would have no chance of getting admission). So, if you are selected in any field and want to admission in NUST, so you should have to submit the fee invoice.

The upgradation in the next field of interest(according to your preference) is dependent on availability of seats. If you can't get admission in your desired field, you can surely apply for the refund.

    1. NUST calculates it itself depending upon the no. of students appeared for the test and the marks scored by them.

  13. If i give net 1,2 and 3 merit position are revealed in aug so are marks of net 1,2 know before it like after the test within that month but not the merit positions .
    And if i give all nets are my too marks gonna be counted automatically
